Wednesday night saw Coronation Street win the Best Soap Award at the Freesat awards! Whoop!!
Along with the award was the press hum about what Cath Tyldesley and Samia Ghadie were wearing - which always brings a smile to my face, especially when the press love it!
The Daily Mail said "Looking a far cry from her character who treads the cobbles of Coronation Street, Catherine Tyldesley looked sophisticated in a Roland Mouret figure-hugging dress on Wednesday night”. They also said that the girls “looked more movie star than soapstar” – music to a stylists ears!
, twitter went insane with people tweeting asking where they can get the dresses...
So, for all you celebrity fans, here you go!
Samia wore a dress by Nadine Merabi (click the dress image to buy) from her SS13 collection. The dress was perfect for Samia and her petite frame.
Styling wise, purple was the colour of choice to clash with the dress but if you want to keep it more classic, wear nude shoes and simple accessories to let the dress do the talking.
Cath's dress was a stunning Roland Mouret dress which fit her curves so perfectly (click the dress to buy). To keep the AW13 dress on trend and fresh for SS13 we opted for white shoes and white clutch.
Would love your comments on what you thought of the looks!

Last Saturday saw Corrie's Simon Gregson host his annual charity 'do' in Manchester, with this year's theme being '1950's diner'.
One guest that was beyond thrilled with such a theme was Cath Tyldesley! Anyone that knows Cath knows that she LOVES the 50's and the way the women embraced their curves! So, you can imagine when it came to what to wear for this event, it wasn't such a hardship!
As Cath's stylist, it was a done-deal that Cath had to wear a dress by Vivien of Holloway for this event - in my opinion, they are the best replicated 50's dresses out there and the quality is second to none. I've recommended VOH to a lot of private clients that have wanted dresses that embrace their curves.
The Daily Mail were quick to run an article on Cath, which I was super pleased about....
Cath's hair was styled by the amazing Vince Allenby from Trevor Sorbie and makeup was by the wildly talented Armand Beasley.
A lot of people on Twitter were asking where they could get Cath's dress so here is the dress in question... (click the image to be taken to the website)...
To add the fullness to the skirt (and also give the illusion that the waist is smaller) we added a petticoat underneath and added the white belt which was very 50's.
Cath wore the Topshop Gwenda shoes in white which I have blogged about before... the pointed toe was perfect for this look, any other toe (peep toe or rounded) just wouldn't have looked right.
Would love to know what you think of the outfit....

Last Saturday evening saw the blooming Lucy-Jo Hudson turn 30 - ahhhhh!! And to celebrate the occasion, Lucy-Jo and a few friends spent the evening in Manchester at one of the city's favourite haunts, San Carlo.
I met up with Lucy a couple of days before with some pressies, that I'd picked from AX Paris - all of which were perfect for Lucy-Jo's bump as the fabric was stretchy and would accommodate the growing bump!
Lucy chose to celebrate her birthday wearing the snakeskin blue midi dress from AX Paris which fit her shape perfectly. The statement necklace finished the look off effortlessly!
Unfortunately, this actual dress has now sold out as it was such a hit on Lucy-Jo BUT, if I were to pick something similar from AX Paris that would tick all the same boxes, I would definitely pick this Aztec Printed Midi dress - similar colours and same pricepoint (£22):
Also at the soiree was the effortlessly beautiful Samia Ghadie who if I'm honest looks a million dollars in a bin bag - she is so easy to style and everything looks amazing (so unfair!!).
So, when Samia said she was going to Lucy-Jo's birthday, her look needed to be effortless and comfortable (for all the italian food to be eaten!). Samia's legs are amazing so it had to be a legs out look too:
These Lipsy shorts are just on sale (£45) and are just so effortless but stylish! Samia teamed the shorts with a basic black vest and black shoe boots rather than trying to match the look up and make it too stylised. One thing I drill into clients is that your outfit has to look effortless - like you've thrown it on last minute but it all works!
The white jacket Samia's is made of tightly knitted matte sequins from H&M (image not available!). The jacket too is brand new in stock and is £34.99 so if you hurry you should be able to pick this beauty up.
So there you have the latest Celebrity Style from the high street. I'd love to know what you think of the looks and whether you'd style it the same or differently!
