Last Thursday saw the launch of the flagship Coast Store in the Trafford Centre. This is their second flagship, the first being in London.

As a rule, I've always had a bit of a nervous view of Coast when styling private clients. Its that age-old quote that "you can't wear Coast to an event in case someone turns up wearing the same dress!". Well the flagship collection solves that problem with both flagship stores stocking pieces you can only get in those stores.

The collections of old tended to focus on strapless duchess satin A-Line dresses, and whilst there is still this offering of this for bridesmaids, the new collections are taking on a more modern and trend led approach.

I loved their use of feathers - finally a brand to do feather in a flattering way, rather than adding bulk!!!

The dress on the right (below) was an instant hit in the store on the night with every woman gasping when it came down the catwalk!

An ingenious introduction to the headpiece. Gone are the days of the fascinator, now bigger is better!!!

The 50's got a great reception (and I will guarantee the dress on the right will be seen on one of my celeb clients very soon - can you guess who??)

Not only the 50's but the 20's made an appearance - with The Great Gatsby movie on its way, these dresses will fly off the shelves!

One of my personal faves was the playsuit on the right...

Both Natasha and I had a fab night - so thankyou Coast!!!

Which piece was your favourite and what do you think of the new pieces???

Until next time...

Autumn Winter 2012

Last week saw the 2012 TV Choice Awards hit London, and, as usual, the fashion made the press! I was lucky to style Coronation St's Paula Lane for the awards this year!

Paula's personal style is very unique, which is great because I can take her down many trend routes and she will rock the look naturally.

So, this time, I wanted to explore a new look for Paula, the Jumpsuit!!

The look was styled quite masculine, with the hair being slicked back but adopted some of this season's key trends - those being embellishment on the collar and the opulent velvet fabric of the shoes.

We did add a regular twist of vintage into the mix with a vintage bag and belt to finish the look off.

The jumpsuit is from the amazing Virgos Lounge (in sizes 6-12) but isnt available to buy until 6th Oct. However you can pre-order it by clicking here.

Would love to know your comments!

Until next time...

Celebrity Style, Autumn Winter 2012

Love this River Island skirt.... so easy to wear as u pull it on, it covers tums with the side ruching, its foiled so it ticks the 'quirky' box and its this season's version of the maxi with the side split... All for £24!!!  BOOM!

Wear with an oversized jumper and boots for a look thats got Autumn all wrapped up!

Until next time...
